What is WorkOne?

WorkOne and WorkOne Express are the state-designated names for offices that offer services and programs offered through the workforce development system in Indiana. The idea is to consolidate core services at one location for customers.  Customers can also receive direct referrals to job training, education, or other services from this location.

Employers have a single point of contact for information and to list job openings.

What services are available through WorkOne or WorkOne Express Centers?

A key feature of each WorkOne location is its Information Resource Area or IRA.  This is a "self-serve" area in which individuals may utilize the following services free of charge:

• Access to the Internet
• Indiana's Customer Self Service System (CS3) job matching system
• Access to the job board (job leads)
• Computer programs such as Microsoft Word® and Microsoft Excel® for resumes, cover letters, and research
• Labor market information

Other services available through WorkOne generally include:

• Veteran's services
• Workforce investment career/education consultants
• Employment specialists
• Individual career and training consulting
• Adult Basic Education (ABE) orientations and referrals

What is KV Works' involvement with WorkOne?

KV Works is a partner in eight WorkOne locations in Northwest Indiana (in the counties of Jasper, LaPorte, Newton, Porter, Pulaski, and Starke).  We also have offices and service locations in the following Indiana cities: Crown Point, East Chicago, Gary, Hammond, and South Bend.
